Named the Jimmy Rogers, Jr. Most Valuable Lineman … just one of five offensive linemen to win the award and the only offensive guard in the 47 years the award has been presented … a four-year letterwinner and three-year starter … anchored an offensive line that opened holes for a 100-yard rusher (DeShaun Foster) and a 100-yard receiver (Freddie Mitchell) … led UCLA to the 1999 Rose Bowl and the 2000 Sun Bowl … a member of the last UCLA Pac-10 Championship team(1998) … a native of Los Angeles, Calif.
