Enriquez, Salazar Named Top Volunteers
EL PASO, Texas (March 16, 2007) - The Sun Bowl Association held its
annual volunteer appreciation party Friday night and a pair of
individuals were given the organization's top honor.
Sarah Enriquez and Sam Salazar were the 2006 recipients of the Koogler
Award, given to the Association's top volunteer. This marks the first
time in the history of the organization that two individuals have
shared the top volunteer award. Enriquez is the Media Host Committee
chairman, while Salazar is the Pac-10 band host chairman.
"It is people like Sarah and Sam that make a difference," said Bernie
Olivas, executive director of the Sun Bowl Association. "We are known
as the ‘Hospitality Bowl' because of Sarah and Sam and all of our

Association work and we could not do any of this without the citizens
of El Paso."
