The 2008 Sun Queen is Celeste Nevarez, the daughter of Victor and Penny Nevarez, is a recent graduate with a psychology degree from Texas Tech University.

The 2007 Sun Queen and Sun Princesses were announced Aug. 11 by Sun Bowl Association President Linda East at the Sun Court Coronation Party at El Paso Country Club.
