Pendergrass Sets City Record At The 16th Annual
Price's Give ‘Em Five Sun
Bowl Punt, Pass & Kick
EL PASO, Texas (October 14,
2008) - For the second straight year Paul Pendergrass took the overall top spot
with a new sectional record at the 16th annual Price's Give 'Em Five Punt Pass
and Kick sectional competition Tuesday at Sun Bowl Stadium.
Pendergrass, who had a
combined total of 404 feet, 10 inches in the Boys 14-15 Division, eclipsed his
own mark of 404-4 set last year.
Jazmine Ross, who won the Girls
12-13 Division, was the girls overall winner with a combined distance of 238-5.
Winners who qualify will
advance to participate at the regional competition in Irving, Texas,
at the Dallas Cowboys-San Francisco 49ers game on Nov. 23.
In 2001, Cathedral High's Rhyan
Madrid won
the national title in the Boys 14-15 division.
