Sophomore Jessica Wolfe set a new kill record with 18 total kills in the three-game set and notched six digs. Trailing behind Wolfe was Kelsey Labrum and Dana Daprile, adding seven and six kills respectively. Overall, Butler's 45 total kills and .320 hitting percentage soared past NJIT who was held to 25 kills and a .070 hitting percentage. Labrum led the team with two single blocks and one block assist. Porshia Allen and Wolfe added six and four blocks respectively to Butler's season-high 10.0 total team blocks, tying a Sun Bowl Invitational record. NJIT's Kristy Haeckel and Katrina Hornstein led the team with six kills each. Juliana Araujo pulled out 10 digs with Hornstein trailing behind with nine. |
