Applications Are Now Being Accepted For 2006 Court

The Sun Bowl Association is accepting applications for the 2006 Sun Court.

The Sun Princess competition is open to all females between the ages of 19-22, who have not been married or have not had any children. Applicants must have completed a minimum of one year of college. Each applicant must be enrolled as a full-time student taking a minimum of 12 academic hours or full time in a graduate program with a cumulative grade point average of at least a 2.5 on a 4.0 scale. Transcript must accompany application. Sun Princesses may not hold any other title during the time they are members of the Sun Court.

Judging is based on communication and interpersonal skills, ability to demonstrate knowledge of El Paso, poise, appearance and personality.

The Sun Queen and Court are required to participate in all prescribed events for the 2005 Sun Bowl Association: Thanksgiving weekend and December 23-29. Special appearances are also required at other times during the year. The Sun Court is required to serve at least 20 volunteer hours for a non-profit organization.

The deadline to submit an application is June 9 and all interviews will be held on July 8. The number of applicants will determine the number of interviews necessary to select the 2006 Sun Princesses. The applicant will be notified of the interview schedule after the application deadline.
